  1. Oct 08,  · There will never be another Sisters album, this was it. Not the highly polished alienation of 'Floodland' or the simmering egos of 'First and Last and Always', Vision Thing remains the best likeness that Eldritch's approach to a purely rock and roll album could achieve.4/5(91).
  2. "Something Fast" is an unoriginal ballad that goes nowhere, does nothing to draw the listener into the song. It sounds like a hair metal ballad coated with some undertones of country and gospel, yuck! Out of the three album closers that The Sisters of Mercy made, "I Was Wrong" is the worst by far.

The Sisters, lead by Andrew Eldritch, already produced excellent moody, gothic rock on the first two albums but with Vision Thing, Mr. Eldritch applied the fast hard rock rythem from the song "This Corrosion" on the Floodland album to nearly every track on Vision Thing. His deep voice and inspired lyrics leave you craving for more.
